My Guest for today is Brennan from mywaywardgirl

When Spring collections roll out every year it's easy to get caught up in the buzz and hype of seasonal staples like Chanel, Valentino, or Dior and overlook lesser-known but insanely talented designers that aren't quite as adept at grabbing the spotlight as say... this guy

Because of this, I'd like to take this post to highlight one of the best designers I've discovered all year, Collette Dinnigan. Although Dinnigan is no stranger to the fashion world, she gets less coverage in the States than she does in her native Australia, but I have no idea why. I sincerely wish that we could see more of Collette's work on the red carpet. Scroll down and take a look at highlights from her Spring collection and I think you'll see why.

This spring season, heightened retro femininity is all the rage and Dinnigan couldn't have set the trend straight any better way than with her perfect balance of intricate lace, sheer satin, and delicate sequins.

In a fashion world inundated by dresses that look like they were made out of doilies from your grandmother's furniture shop (but I love you, Valentino), Collette strikes the perfect balance between feminine frill and sleek evening apparel.

Which collections are you most excited to see on the red carpet this summer and spring?

You can keep up with Brennan on here blog mywaywardgirl
